-Portraits Made From Records-

About

“I am a self-taught artist. I have never taken a class or had any formal training. I specialize in Vinyl Art. The majority of my portraits are constructed on wood panels and feature vinyl records and CD’s. There are other artists that use records, but what sets my work apart is the use of layering and colored records. I feel that the layers and colors provide depth to the portraits and often can reflect emotion. I’m a music fanatic. I listen to all genres. With music being such a big part of my life most of my art is focused around music and musicians. I have tried my hand at a few different mediums and techniques, but records have always intrigued me.  As a child I could not understand how they played music, it was almost like magic…. which is funny because now I destroy them.”
